An apprenticeship in stillness, time, and place-based awareness guided by the presence of The Trees. Each species of Tree has its own unique attributes, and each Tree has its own perspective as an individual. This work with The Trees deepens my capacity for grounding, patience, and long-term perspective. The Elders of Trees help inform how I understand stability, connection, and holding space for myself and others. This education is lifelong and continual.
A wise and interconnected Field of equine teachers who educate and advise utilizing their collective wisdom and knowledge. Through direct interaction and energetic attunement, they offer clear feedback and leadership. This Council shapes how I listen, learn, respond, and hold space across species. The process of learning from this Council is never complete.
An integrative energy practice developed through Reverend’s lineage, blending traditional Reiki with natural and elemental energies, this energy healing was created by Reverend shortly after he was certified as an Usui Ryoho Reiki Master. Learning his energy healing modality has been humbling, brilliant, and healing. I am honored to be his first certified human.
At the spot in the path where the pine trees tip in to meet one another, the Birds refer to the spot as “The Squeeze.” In this area, a lot of daily discussion and news is shared amongst all species. In this area, I am honored to often be brought into the conversation with the Birds, to be taught the correct pronunciations of their lyrics, their preferred names, the jokes and fears that arise, and to leave a little lighter - and a little more enlightened - than before I arrived. Being a weekly member of The Squeeze is one of my life’s great highlights.

Reiki is a quiet, non-invasive practice that promotes relaxation and calm by supporting the nervous system and the body’s natural ability to settle and rebalance. It can be used with people, animals, and even spaces to encourage comfort, ease, and a sense of steadiness, particularly during stressful, sensitive, or transitional times.
Ordination in Animal Chaplaincy through the Compassion Consortium is an enriching and intensive process. This ongoing formation focuses on presence, ethical care, and support for both humans and animals during illness, transition, and loss, and connects my work to chaplaincy-informed approaches rooted in compassion, discernment, and respect for diverse beliefs. My Ordination as an Animal Chaplain is in its Capstone.
This membership connects me to the standards, ethics, and evolving practices within the animal hospice and palliative care field, and situates my work alongside veterinary professionals, caregivers, and support providers focused on comfort, quality of life, and compassionate end-of-life care.
Connects me to ongoing education, professional resources, and a broader community dedicated to supporting individuals and families through companion animal loss. This membership grounds my work in established grief-support practices and provides access to tools and perspectives that inform compassionate, nonjudgmental care during and after loss, and provide additional resources for humans and non-humans, alike.
